Impossible To Forget: Chapter Two

Year 2012 - Hong Kong

Cameras flashed and the paparazzi eagerly pushed against each other to catch a glimpse of the star and his date in front of him. "Mr. Yan! Please, a few questions!"

Aaron gave them his killer smile then took a look at his beautiful date with concern eyes before proceeding, "Okay fine, I will answer only a few questions."

"What is her name? Who is she to you? What are you plans for your next album? I heard you recently got back from America, how was it?" The paparazzi began shouting out all their questions, it was hard for Aaron to focus on one. "What happened to your previous girlfriend?"

Aaron froze at the last question. He felt his body tense up and for a moment, he thought that time had stop until his date softly tapped his hand, knocking him back into his senses, "I'm sorry, no more questions."

The paparazzi groaned and continued to snap away as Aaron and his date walked inside the venue. She took a glance at Aaron, "Are you okay?"

Aaron gave her a reassuring smile, "Yeah. I'm sorry I froze."

"No it's okay I understand. It's hard to forget your first love." She replied and gave him a weak smile, hiding her jealousy.

"First love huh..." Aaron muttered under his breath.

Year 2004 - Hong Kong

"Oh no...what do I do? I think I killed her!" A voice panicked as he stared at the lifeless body of a young beautiful girl.

"Stay calm, she's breathing. Stop making a scene and help her up." Another voice replied.

Hebe felt as if she was weightless. There was something carrying her that allowed her to float through the clouds. Was she in heaven? But alas, she woke up from her hallucination. She noticed that a young man was helping her up. He looked rather friendly and energetic. Then she turned to catch a glimpse at his friend who was just standing there quietly. There was just something about him that made Hebe concentrated on him.

He stared at her as she stared back. They two gazed into each other eyes, forgetting where they were and what they were doing that moment. It was as if time stood still. He felt something. She was different and there was an electric current running down their spines. "Jiro, I think she's awake now." He broke off the eye contact between the two as he whispered to his friend, Jiro.

"Are you okay miss? I'm so sorry. I wasn't watching where I was walking." Jiro apologized but Hebe paid no attention to him–her eyes were still set upon his friend. "Hi, I'm Jiro, and that's my friend Aaron." Jiro introduced; he had a feeling that Hebe was interested in Aaron.

Hebe smiled politely, "I'm Hebe."

"Listen, I'll treat you to dinner to make up for this incident." Jiro offered but Hebe shook her head.

"No need. I'm fine." Hebe replied. She finally turned to face Jiro, allowing him to get a good look at Hebe. Indeed Hebe was a stunner, she was gorgeous. Jiro stood there in awe for about a few seconds, just staring at Hebe.

Aaron quickly nudged him as soon as he saw Hebe's strange look on her face. He laughed nervously, "Sorry. Jiro has this weird staring habit when he meets pretty girls."

Hebe giggled in reply, "It's fine. Well, I must leave now. Goodbye." She began to head a certain direction but stopped and walked back towards the two boys, "Uhm...could you guys please tell me how to get to xxx Street?"

Aaron grinned, "Are you lost?"

Hebe nodded honestly, "I am."

Aaron was surprised at how innocent this girl was. She was asking two strangers she didn't know for directions. Did she just assume they were nice guys? What if she had asked two gangsters, what would happen to her. "How about we take you there? It's not safe for girls to be wandering by themselves late at night in these streets."

Hebe thought about the offer. Usually, she would say no, but something was urging her to say yes. "That would be lovely."

"So Hebe. You aren't from around here, are you?" Jiro asked. He knew that Hebe was definitely not from these parts of town. She was too well spoken to be. She seemed like the typical rich girl with her proper speech and elegant clothing.

"No, I'm not. I'm from the Gates (The Gates is a 'gated' community where the rich live with the rich.)" Hebe answered.

Jiro let out a whistle, "Dang, those places are huge there. You must be loaded."

Hebe chuckled nervously. She didn't really like people talking about her wealth. Aaron noticed her nervousness and changed the subject, "Do you play any sports Hebe?"

She shook her head, "Not physical sports, no."

"That's a shame, you have a killer body" Jiro muttered under his breath, but was covered up by Aaron's loud coughs so that Hebe couldn't hear what he had said.

"Well, here you are xxx Street." Aaron said as they stopped walking.

"Oh." Hebe replied with a small frown. She didn't want to stop talking to them. It's been a while since she has actually spoken to normal people. "Listen, Jiro. I'll take you up on that offer for dinner."

Jiro grinned, "I knew you couldn't resist--"

But was interrupted by Aaron's nudge. Jiro yelped in pain but was ignored by Aaron. "Great, I know this great place, I think you'll like it there."

They stared at one of the most packed sidewalk food vendors. It was crowded with tons of people. Hebe coughed uncomfortably, "You know...I thought you meant a restaurant..."

"I didn't say restaurant did I? I said a great place and here we are" Aaron grinned. He knew Hebe wasn't used to this type of place, but he had a feeling she would like it here.

"Hello Aunty Ella, could you please give us a table?" Aaron asked his aunt who was rushing around in a hurry.

She turned to Aaron and had a huge smile on her face, "Ah Aaron, just in time. You and your friends are going to help" She quickly tossed three aprons before they could even say anything.

"Hebe, you just sit and relax" Aaron grabbed a chair and placed it in front of Hebe. He took the apron and tied it around his waist, "Sorry, it'll take a while, would you like anything while you wait?"

Hebe took the apron that Aaron's aunt had tossed to her and tied it around her waist, "I'll help."

"Are you sure? You don't have to." Aaron replied in an unsure tone. He wasn't sure if Hebe could manage being a waitress. She seemed like she had never worked in her entire life.

Hebe pouted and placed her hands on her hips, "Are you doubting my abilities?"

"Aish, just get to work you guys" Jiro interrupted as he walked past the two to clean the tables.

Hebe sat down and let out a sigh of defeat. She had never felt so exhausted in her life as she felt now. Every muscle in her body cried out in pain. She was going to be really sore tomorrow. Aaron walked up to the table with a tray of food. "Eat up"

Hebe looked at the food. Although it wasn't appealing to the eyes, the smell...it made her want to devour everything on the table. She took a bite of the meat in front of her. It was mouth watering, the flavors were dancing on the tip of her tongue. "It's delicious" She exclaimed and reached out to get more food.

Aaron grinned as he watched Hebe's eyes light up whenever she tried a different dish on the table. It was such an adorable sight.

Hebe let out a relieved sigh. "I've never ate that much before. It was delicious!"

"Glad you enjoyed it" Aaron replied.

She glanced to look at the time on Aaron's watch. "Oh no, I'm late!" She wiped her mouth and rushed to untie her apron. "I have to go. It was a lovely dinner. Thank you guys! Goodbye!"

"Wait. Where are you going?" Aaron shouted, but Hebe had already rushed inside a taxi.
